Chukwunonso, 24, from Enugu Ukwu in Njikoka local government area of Anambra State told Daily Independent that he has a pending drug charge in the court. I am a security man at 22 Chris Avenue, Lekki, and I earn N25, 000 monthly. I was posted to Industrial and General Insurance Company to secure their guest house. I was arrested in the eastern part of the country sometime ago for selling Indian hemp for my master. It was in my home town Enugu Ukwu. I was arrested on October 23, 2013 and charged to the Federal High Court, Awka on November 14, 2013. I was remanded at Awka prisons for four months and two weeks before I was granted on bail on March 12, 2014. I have been appearing during adjournments, but my master promised he was going to raise money to close the case, but he did not. This is why I and Chima Tony Ayomoh decided to snatch a car so that I can sell it to raise money to close the case. We snatched the car at Lekki. I was arrested, but Chima escaped with the car, he abandoned it because it developed a gear problem. The two ladies in the car were screaming, so I decided to jump out of the car to run, and I was arrested. I pointed gun at them and asked the one at the driver's side to come to the back seat. Both of them jumped out of the car while my colleague drove. The gun I was holding was a plastic one which I bought it for N400 at Awka. I hid it in a travelling bag while I was coming to Lagos.Daily Independent
