Operation Safe Haven, an outfit in charge of security in Plateau State, on Sunday October 25, paraded 116 suspects who allegedly broke into the office of the Plateau Agricultural and Development (PADP) in Dogon Dutse area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The looters who were searching for COVID-19 palliatives, invaded the warehouse at PADP and carted away several bags of fertiliser, farm implements, chemicals, generators and other items.

The invasion occurred early Sunday morning, despite the reinstatement of a 24-hour curfew in the Jos on Saturday.

It was gathered that the items are those of the Fadama Project 4 which were provided by the state government in collaboration with international agencies.

According to the STF, the suspects including 13 women, will be prosecuted while search for others involved is still ongoing.

“The individuals are among those who destroyed government property and stole fertilizers, chemicals, generation among other items” STF said in a statement.
