The Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State Austin Iwar has stated the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) often known as Shiite tried to bomb some components the state.
In a assertion by the Police Public Relations Officer ASP Muhktar Aliyu, the command insisted that the IMN is just not a authorized organization within the state.
Iwar stated: “Therefore persons parading themselves as members of the group and especially disturbing the peace shall be treated as criminals and dealt with accordingly,” he stated,
“Today at about 12:15 hour, a group of violent miscreants of the disbanded IMN armed with weapons, knives and Improvised Explosive Devises (IEDs), disturbed the peace of Kaduna metropolis alongside Katsina-Kano highway by attacking and injuring cops deployed to stop crime and maintain peace within the state.
“Their felony motion which was instantly introduced beneath management resulted in panic and disruption of lawful actions of legislation abiding Nigerians within the space.
“The command has deployed methods to fish out the perpetrators and cope with any rising threats to disturb the peace.
“The command remains resolute in crime fighting and warns that lawless persons or groups will be dealt with decisively on any attempt to breach the peace of the state in accordance with the law.”
