The 2016 Carnival Calabar has acquired more exciting flavours, with the confirmation that popular children’s cartoon network, Nickelodeon, will be participating at this year’s carnival.
Making this disclosure in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital, Special Adviser to the Governor on Events, Mr Ken Ahkla, said the coming of Nickelodeon was good news to families.
“The cartoon network will for four days organise family and children’s funfair at Tinapa and the funfair is the alternative to the yearly children Carnival,” Mr Akhla stated.
He further disclosed that “the event will be used by the network in their programme that is broadcast all over the world and is also expected to help grow potentials of home vendors for children events”.
In a related development, another entertainment giant that will be making first appearance at Carnival Calabar is Nikon.
The Japanese camera maker is to set up an academy in Calabar to train young enthusiasts on the art of photography.
