Cristiano Ronaldo struck early to hand Portugal a 1-0 win against Morocco on Wednesday, keeping the latter rooted to the bottom of Group B despite their valiant efforts.
As such, here's how the players rated in their second match of the 2018 World Cup win...
1. Portugal: Keeper & Defenders
Rui Patricio 8/10 Protected the goal admirably, particularly during Morocco's set piece which saw Belhanda get a header on target.
Cedric Soares 5/10 Didn't offer anything going forward but stuck to his defensive task well enough.
Pepe 6/10 Looked laboured for most of the game but made some crucial challenges late on. Took a horrendous dive after being patted on the back by Benatia, if that's worth anything.
Jose Fonte 4/10 Caught in a few unwanted positions and was exposed for pace.
Raphael Guerreiro 4/10 Shockingly poor in defence. Nordin Amrabat had a field day with him.
2. Portugal: Midfielders
Bernardo Silva 6/10 Created a few chances but didn't contribute as much as he'd have liked to.
Joao Moutinho 6.5/10 Played positively most of the game but was hardly creative, barring the assist.
William Carvalho 6/10 Was great on the ball but didn't offer much himself.
Joao Mario 5/10 Hardly made a statement but did win a free kick in an important area.
3. Portugal: Forwards
Goncalo Guedes 6/10 Didn't link well enough up front with Ronaldo but had a few good chances.
Cristiano Ronaldo 7.5/10 Didn't get enough touches but scored the crucial goal.
4. Portugal: Substitutes
Gelson Martins 6/10 Did well coming on, showed pace and composure; was excellent on the ball.
Bruno Fernandes 6/10 Also did well after coming on and nearly got Ronaldo another goal.
Adrien Silva N/A Didn't get the time to do enough for a rating.
5. Morocco: Goalkeeper & Defenders
Munir Mohand Mohamedi 6.5/10 Kept Morocco in it with a great first half save.
Nabil Dirar 7/10 Impressed at both ends of the pitch.
Medhi Benatia 7/10 Could have been much neater in defence but made attempts getting forward and nearly scored.
Manuel Da Costa 6/10 Could have done more to prevent Ronaldo from scoring but did make some important clearances.
Achraf Hakimi 5/10 Played a poor all-round game but did surge forward on occasion.
6. Morocco: Midfielders
Karim El Ahmadi 6.5/10 Tried being positive in attack but turned out to be wasteful. He was pretty solid in defence, however.
Mbarek Boussoufa 6/10 Mostly quiet but passed the ball around well.
Nordin Amrabat 8/10 Morocco's best player on the day. Was impressive playing on the right flank and gave Guerreiro a torrid time.
Younes Belhanda 8/10 Also gave a great account of himself and created a few chances, including that header on target.
Hakim Zayek 7/10 Got in a few shots on target and played well overall.
7. Morocco: Forwards
Khalid Boutaib 6/10 Simply couldn't get it done operating at the point of attack, despite looking a huge threat and having an early chance.
8. Morocco: Substitutes
Ayoub El Kaabi N/A Not enough time on for a fair rating.
Mehdi Carcela 6/10 Showed willingness and pace but couldn't change much.
Faycal Fajr N/A Came on late in stoppage time.
