The Presidency has suggested the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to cease what it described as “crocodile tears” over the current bloodbath by herdsmen in Plateau state lately.
Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, mentioned this in a assertion in Abuja on Thursday.
“These are dolorous times that call for deep introspection on how cheap human lives have become, and the proffering of actionable ideas on how to get out of the bind,” the assertion mentioned.
“But the PDP would reasonably dance on the graves of the useless, enjoying low-cost, childish politics.
“The comatose and prostrate party is declaring seven days of mourning, throughout which flags in its workplaces can be flown at half mast nationwide.
“But unknown to the party, these flags had been forcefully lowered since its 2015 loss on the polls, and should stay so for a very long time to return, as a result of Nigerians are politically discerning, and can't be hoodwinked by low-cost antics.”
The presidential aide additional listed some “savage and brutal killings” in Nigeria throughout PDP rule, between 1999 and 2015, for which no nationwide mourning was declared.
