President Muhammadu Buhari has named Aliyu Yahaya Gusau as new Director-General of the Budget Office of the federation.
This was disclosed in a statement by Marshall Gundu, the director of press and public relations at the federal ministry of finance. As stated by the statement, the nomination takes effect from Tuesday, August 18, with a four-year term renewable for another four years.
Gusau hails from Zamfara State. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
Until his nomination, the budget office chief was the director of fiscal policy, budget monitoring and evaluation and the acting director general of the Budget Office of the federation at the exit of the former director general, Dr Bright Okogu.
