A commercial s3x worker, Sarah Pam, has been slammed with a N500,000 bail by a Chief Magistrates' Court sitting in Jos, the Plateau State capital, for allegedly stealing various denominations of recharge cards valued at N135,000 from her customer, reports Plateau News.

It was learnt that the prostitute who operates in a brothel located in the Dogon Dutse area of Jos, stole the cards from one Samson Daru, when he had gone to spend the night with her in a hotel.

As stated by the police prosecutor, Sergeant Umar Mukaila, a resident of Tafawa Balewa Street, had lodged a complaint at the ‘A’ Divisional Police Headquarters on Wednesday, June 8, after he took the prostitute to a hotel to have s3x with and how she stole the cards from him

"The complait had engaged the defendant on June 8, and took her to Piye hotel, in the West of Mines of Jos. He took the defendant to the hotel after they had an agreement that he will pay her N5,000 for the night.

The complait went out in the morning to use his ATM and withdraw money to pay her; and when he returned, he discovered that his recharge cards that were kept in his bag were missing,” Mukaila told the court, explaining further that during police investigations, Pam confessed that she actually committed the crime.

The prosecutor added that the crime contravened the provision of Section 287 of the Penal Code and if found guilty, the prostitute would be liable to a jail term of at least seven years or an option of fine or both.

When the one-count charge of theft was read to Pam, she pleaded guilty and begged for leniency from the magistrate, Mrs Oluwatoyin Mafuyai.

Mafuyai granted Pam bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties on her, stating that the sureties must have landed property within the Jos Metropolis and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court. She thereafter adjourned the matter till June 27 for hearing.
