Protesting women all dressed in black have been tear-gassed in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital. The women are protesting against what they called a plot to declare a result of an election in the state even when there was no election. In the course, there was stampede as many of the women were pushed and wounded when the policemen fired tear-gas cannisters.
There is tension in the state after the All Progressives Congress stated no election took place in the state as the Independent National Electoral Commission failed to provide election results sheets. However the PDP claims that election took place.
