Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla but - contrary to some reports - the two clubs are yet to agree a deal, Goal understands.

The Europa League champions have told PSG to pay the €45 million release clause included in Krychowiak's latest contract, which runs until 2019 and was signed in November, but are likely to eventually settle for a lower fee.

Unai Emery, the Poland midfielder's coach for his two seasons at Sevilla, is set to be named as Laurent Blanc's successor in the French capital.

"I have nothing to say about it," Krychowiak said recently when asked about a potential return to France and reunion with Emery. "During the Euros, it is all about the Euros. Then we'll see.

"I want to focus on the competition. My priority is to go far with Poland - everything that happens around me is not important."

When asked about the speculation during a press conference on Friday, the Polish media officer declined to allow Krychowiak to answer the question.

Emery is not the only figure at PSG with a link to Krychowiak - Olivier Letang, the sporting director, was Reims' general manager when they signed the 26-year-old from Bordeaux in 2012.

New Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli has accepted that Krychowiak is unlikely to be at his disposal next season, with the Andalusian club already making plans to replace him.
