R. Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated s3xual abuse in Cook County, Illinois, E! News. Documents show that there are four alleged victims, nine of Kelly’s charges involving alleged victims aged 13 to 16 years. In the state of Illinois, the charge of s3xual abuse is a “class 2” crime, each count can result in a maximum of 3 to 7 years in prison. According to TMZ early Friday, two women had testified before a grand jury in Chicago, alleging that R. Kelly had s3x with minors, one of the women supposedly bringing physical evidence. The news media said one of the alleged victims testified that she was a minor when she had s3x with R. Kelly between 2008 and 2010 in the state of Illinois. When the news of R. Kelly’s indictment fell, lawyer Michael Avenatti tweeted, “It’s over.” “After 25 years of serial s3xual abuse and aggression against young minors, the day of judgment arrived for R. Kelly,” he wrote in a second tweet.
