With a total of 8,528,887 vehicles delivered in 2015, the Renault-Nissan Alliance saw a 1 percent increase, year-over-year, thanks to record sales in the US, Europe and China.

Out of the total number, 5,421,804 cars and trucks were sold worldwide by Nissan Motor Co, Ltd., while Infiniti accounted for a record 215,250 units, up 16 percent.

The Renault Group sold 2,801,592 vehicles across the globe in 2015, up 3.3 percent from 2014, while AVTOVAZ, which sells cars under the LADA brand, delivered 31.5 percent less vehicles, to 305,491, in the Russian market.

Top ten markets of the Alliance in 2015 were U.S., China, France, Japan, Mexico, UK, Germany, Russia, Brazil and Spain, and in the United States alone, Nissan set an all-time record, with 1,484,918 vehicles, up 7.1 percent, meaning a market share of 8.5 percent. In China, the automaker sold 1.25 million vehicles, up 6.3 percent.


In its home market, Renault sold 607,173 vehicles the previous year, up 5.1 percent, with a market share of 26.4 percent. The best-selling model was the Clio, for the sixth consecutive year. The brand's second largest market, Brazil, saw 181,504 vehicles delivered, closely followed by Germany with 177,787.
