The England goalkeeper has been one of Manchester City's star performers this season and believes his save from Dimitri Payet in the recent draw at West Ham was his best ever
Joe Hart believes his save from Dimitri Payet’s free kick in last month’s draw with West Ham was the best of his Manchester City career.
Unsighted by the wall, Hart leapt to his left to tip over the Frenchman’s powerful, curling 25-yard effort to help preserve a point in the 2-2 draw at Upton Park.
Hart claimed it was such a good save that he even surprised himself and revealed the praise he received from West Ham’s players afterwards gave him an extra sense of accomplishment.
“Yes. I kind of clattered up off the floor and I wasn’t sure where the ball was. It was a did that just happen moment,” he told BT Sport
“I love the game but I’ve obviously got some sort of ability in there as well. Sometimes it’s nice to surprise yourself.
“Payet was great afterwards and so were all their players. It’s nice because it’s genuine.”
