Joe Hart believes his save from Dimitri Payetβs free kick in last monthβs draw with West Ham was the best of his Manchester City career.
Unsighted by the wall, Hart leapt to his left to tip over the Frenchmanβs powerful, curling 25-yard effort to help preserve a point in the 2-2 draw at Upton Park.
Hart claimed it was such a good save that he even surprised himself and revealed the praise he received from West Hamβs players afterwards gave him an extra sense of accomplishment.
βYes. I kind of clattered up off the floor and I wasnβt sure where the ball was. It was a did that just happen moment,β he told BT Sport
βI love the game but Iβve obviously got some sort of ability in there as well. Sometimes itβs nice to surprise yourself.
βPayet was great afterwards and so were all their players. Itβs nice because itβs genuine.β
