Newcastle United will face an injury hit Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend.

Influential 13-goal striker Álvaro Morata is injured while Belgium’s star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also out of the tie for the Blues.

And to add to Antonio Conte’s woes, Brazilian ace Willian will also be in the stands as the two sides battle for a place in the last 16 of the competition in the capital.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Conte said: “Morata and Courtois are out.

“I don’t know how close they are to returning.

“It’s very difficult to say today how many days they need to come back.

“Morata has this problem in his back, and Courtois took a kick in his ankle.

“Willian is out.

“Today with the doctor he had a scan to evaluate his injury, but I don’t think we are talking about a serious injury.”

Although, there was better news on Cesc Fabregas, with Conte saying: “Fabregas trained today with us, and tomorrow I will check his physical condition.

“It’s good news for us.”

Conte is also unsure whether he will start £15million new boy Ross Barkley in the game with the former Everton star making his debut in the week against Arsenal in the League Cup.

Conte said: “After a bad injury, you need a bit of time to be 100 per cent fit.

“If we want to accelerate this process, he has to play, not only have training sessions, especially at this moment after the Willian and Morata injuries. “We don’t have other options.”
