All is not well in Jay Z's camp. British singer, Rita Ora, wants out of Jay Z's Roc Nation. She has taken her destiny into her hands by dragging her boss Jay-Z to court.
The ‘How we do’ singer is annoyed that Jay-Z, who signed her under his Roc Nation record label, isn’t doing enough to push her career. She approached a Los Angeles court yesterday, seeking to end her deal with Roc Nation.
As stated by the artiste’s reps, Jay-Z hasn’t paid enough attention to Rita’s career which has seen her release just an album in the 7 years she has been signed to the label.
Rita Ora is now citing the American ‘Seven Year Rule’which focuses on labour disputes. She wants the label to free her to move to other endeavours.
The British singer got signed unto Roc Nation in 2008 when she was barely 18 years. She has since released just one album ‘Ora’.
