Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has mentioned his state will not be confronted with safety challenges, including that it doesn't want presidential solidarity go to.

The governor, nevertheless, denied making feedback suggesting that he was against President Muhammadu Buhari visiting the state.

Wike also stated that his state is protected and isn't confronted with herdsmen assaults of clashes.

He acknowledged this on Monday in Port Harcourt, the state capital when he appeared on Channels Television’s Breakfast Programme Sunrise Daily.

“I by no means acknowledged that President Muhammadu Buhari mustn't come to Rivers State and I can by no means say it. The President is the President of the nation. He has the best to come back to Rivers State.

“What I disagreed with is that, if Preisdent Buhari is coming due to insecurity. No. An armed robber operated and killed 15 folks. This will not be the identical factor that each day herdsmen are attacking folks and will result in spiritual or ethnic struggle. That is the purpose I made.

“For example in Lagos State, armed robbers have killed about five people at a time. In Ogun State, people have died, cultists have killed people. So, I never stated that the President should not come to Rivers State and I can never say that.”
