When a judge granted Paula Patton temporary sole custody of son Julian, six, it was a stipulation that the boy's father Robin Thicke could visit with the the child three days a week.

On Monday, People reported Thicke had a supervised visit with Julian on Friday but passed up the chance to have another visit with the boy on Saturday.

That, according to the magazine, sparked another round of tit-for-tat between the exes who are due back in court in their bitter custody battle on February 24.

A source close to Patton told People: 'He did not exercise his right to spend time with his son and the monitor on Saturday, citing a business meeting. However, Paula offered alternate times that Julian could see Robin with the monitor that weekend, but he declined all visitation.'

'These are the actions of a father who claimed he wanted to spend time with his son,' the source stated.

Meanwhile, People cited a source close to Thicke accusing the actress of 'trying to bury him.'

'This is a concerted effort to prejudice the public against him. He has taken no such campaign against her,' the Thicke source claimed.

'He’s taking this extremely seriously, and it’s unfortunate and very difficult when you’re on the receiving end of a campaign of negativity.'

Patton was granted custody of Julian on Thursday after her mother had to call police when her ex Thicke showed up and demanded to see their child earlier this month.

The judge in Los Angeles also imposed a temporary restraining order by which Thicke has to stay 100 yards away from Patton, Julian and Patton’s mother.

In court papers filed in the custody case, Patton, 41, claims that Thicke, 39, has been a long-time drug abuser, cheated on her shamelessly and even beat her on occasion.

But Thicke himself stated that he believes the sudden custody fight stems from Patton's anger that she wasn't invited to his father, actor Alan Thicke's funeral in December.

Patton filed for divorce in October 2014, eight months after separating from the Blurred Lines singer.

The custody battle over their only child came to a head on January 19, when Thicke showed up to her mother's house and demanded to see Julian.

Her filing states that Thicke showed up at her mother's house on January 19 while their son was being interviewed by child services workers and that the singer refused to leave.

After the child services workers left, Thicke banged on the door and demanded to see his son, leaving only after Patton's mother called police, Patton wrote.
