Uzbeki boxer Shakhram Giyasov, it is true, is not quite as big a household name as Cristiano Ronaldo.
But the Olympic Games hopeful made a bid for stardom with a celebration that came straight out of the Real Madrid hitman's repertoire.
Giyasov took victory on Saturday over Cuban opponent Roniel Iglesias, and the pugilist leaped into the air in a tribute to Ronaldo's trademark move.
The spin, the jump, the hands clenched together: they were all there, and Giyasov's antics quickly travelled across the internet as his improvised - or perhaps fully planned - imitation brought to mind none other than CR7.
