Justin Rose
As golf makes its return to the Olympic Games, Justin Rose took advantage of the momentous occasion to card an ace.
The former US Open champion stood in front of the quiet gallery on the par three fourth, which measured 197 yards off the tee on the opening day.The Englishman liked it as soon as it went off the clubface and raised his hands in the air once he saw the ball trickle in the hole.
We are assuming this is the first hole-in-one in the Olympics, though the records from 112 years ago are not as accurate as we’d hoped.
So until agolf historian comes out of the woodwork, were happy for Rose to have this piece of history all to himself.
