The Belgium international has scored just one goal - a penalty in the FA Cup - this season and Chelsea are set to sell him to Real Madrid for a surprisingly cut-price fee
Chelsea star Eden Hazard is closing in on a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid for a staggeringly low fee, according to reports in Spain.
Journalist Eduardo Inda made the sensational claim on TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones, insisting that talks between the two clubs were at an advanced stage and the Belgian would make the switch before Euro 2016.
Incredibly, not even a year after being named the Premier League Player of the Year, the fee being muted for the 25-year-old is just €25 million (£20m).
Most interesting, though, was the suggestion that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was behind the decision to sell Hazard due to a series of poor performances this season.
The Belgian playmaker, who has scored just once this season, had already admitted that he feels a degree of guilt over the sacking of Jose Mourinho, and could now be heading to one of the Portuguese's old clubs.
