Arsenal are ready to see off competition from Liverpool to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez in the summer, according to the Metro.
Reports had claimed the Gunners were knocked back with a January bid for the Mexican forward but the north Londoners will reignite their interest in the summer and go toe-to-toe with Jurgen Klopp's side for the 27-year-old.
Chicharito has scored 13 league goals for Leverkusen since moving from Manchester United and has won three Bundesliga Player of the Month awards in a row.
