Arsenal are prepared to offer Arsene Wenger a new contract after the manager was included on the Football Association's shortlist for the England job, according to the Sunday Express.
The Frenchman has just 12 months to run on his current deal, which was signed in 2014, and has stated previously he is happy to wait until the end of the upcoming season before negotiating a new deal.
The FA are willing to wait a year for Wenger to take up the England job but the Gunners will look to deter any approach for their manager by the governing body by opening up talks over an extension.
