Barcelona have stolen a march on several of Europe's elite teams in the race to sign Rennes' starlet Ousmane Dembele, according to the Mirror.
Camp Nou sporting director Robert Fernandez and scout Urbano Ortega travelled to watch the 18-year-old score a hat-trick against Nantes last week.
Arsenal are also credited with a strong interest in Dembele and are willing to battle Barca for the teenager's signature, but both sides will face competition from Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester and Southampton.
