Dimitar Berbatov is set for a spectacular return to Manchester United with Jose Mourinho agreeing to allow him to train with his squad, according to Sportal.bg.
The Bulgarian striker scored 56 goals in four season at Old Trafford, and after leaving Greek side PAOK the 35-year-old is now a free agent as he weighs up his next move.
Whether that is playing or coaching remains to be seen, but the Bulgarian reports state that either way he will train with Mourinho's squad at Carrington to build-up his fitness.
Berbatov has been linked with several Premier League teams in recent times and news that he is back in England will alert more than a couple of teams ahead of the January transfer window.
