RUMOURS: Chelsea Fail In Gabriel Barbosa Bid

Chelsea have failed with a £25.5 million bid for Brazilian starlet Gabriel Barbosa, according to UOL Esporte.

The 19-year-old, often compared to compatriot Neymar, is being chased by a host of Europe's elite including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, and the Blues made their interest concrete with a bid.

However, Barbosa opted instead to extend his contract with Santos until 2021, with the value of his release clause set at £42 million.
