The out-of-work manager has been offered a consultancy job with the Super League's governing body as they look to increase its global appeal
The Chinese Super League (CSL) has identified former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as their next high-profile target, according to the Daily Mail.
Having already snapped up Alex Teixeira, Jackson Martinez and Ramires, among other big names, the CSL are hopeful they can lure the Portuguese trainer with a consultancy role.
Mourinho would be charged with analysing the league's football and setting out a plan to improve the overall quality of the play in a bid to increase its global appeal.
The 53-year-old is said to be aware of the interest and the high wage packet that would come with the job, but with Louis van Gaal's position at Manchester United still in the balance, his dream job at Old Trafford may still be up for grabs.
