The Germany international has fallen down the pecking order at Bayern Munich and has now reportedly decided he wants to head to Anfield to link up with his former boss
Mario Gotze has decided he wants to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season to link up with former boss Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, according to The Mirror.
The Germany international has fallen out of favour with outgoing Bayern manager Pep Guardiola, having made just 12 appearances for the Bavarians in the current campaign.
And now Gotze, 23, reportedly has his mind set on a reunion with Klopp, whom he played under at Borussia Dortmund and won two Bundesliga titles with.
Gotze, who revealed earlier this month that he still texts the Liverpool manager, is heading towards the final 12 months of his contract and is understood to not want to sign fresh terms with Bayern.
