Incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is targeting a move for highly-rated West Ham youngster Reece Oxford this summer.
The Daily Mail report Oxford, who is the second-youngest player to ever start a Premier League game, has been identified along with Everton centre-back John Stones to bolster City's defensive options.
West Ham will not let Oxford go easily, though, and are ready to offer him improved terms despite already being the highest paid 17-year-old in the history of the club.
It is also thought that City are interested in signing Oxford with one eye on the staying in line with the Premier League's homegrown quota.
