The 20-year-old Schalke star has attracted interest from across Europe in recent months and is rated as one of the best prospects to emerge from Germany in recent years.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the attacking midfielder, who is valued at £40 million by the Bundesliga side.
Guardiola is a known admirer of Sane, previously saying: “Leroy is a huge talent and I can only congratulate Germany on having a talent like him.”
