The Spaniard has already begun discussing transfers with sporting director Txiki Begiristain as he wants to bring in at least eight players but will not raid Camp Nou
Pep Guardiola will not sign any Barcelona stars when he takes over as coach at Manchester City, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
The Spaniard will not attempt to lure Lionel Messi, Neymar or Luis Suarez to the Etihad Stadium although he is keen to revamp the City squad and wants at least eight new signings.
Guardiola has made improving the defence a priority and would also like to bring in two central midfielders and another striker to complement Sergio Aguero.
