Eddie Howe is set to be interviewed by the FA as he bids to become the youngest manager in the history of the England national team, according to The Daily Star.
Sunderland's Sam Allardyce and the former Germany World Cup winner Jurgen Klinsmann had been thought to be clear favourites for the job, vacated by Roy Hodgson following Euro 2016 defeat to Iceland.
But the Bournemouth boss is also on the FA shortlist, although appointing the 38-year-old would be seen as a major gamble.
