The Sun reports that the Red Devils have made contact with representatives of the Tottenham boss over taking over at Old Trafford, with the Portuguese also in the frame
Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho will go head-to-head in the race to take over from Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, according to a report in the Sun.
United chiefs have apparently met with representatives of the Tottenham manager, with the Red Devils believing the Argentine is capable of delivering trophies and producing attractive football.
Mourinho is also in the frame, though, with the Sun suggesting that conversations with the former Chelsea boss are on-going and that United are ready to ditch Van Gaal for either the Portuguese or Pochettino.
