Leicester City have told Sporting that they are ready to activate Islam Slimani’s €30 million (£23.6m) release clause, according to A Bola.
The report from Portugal claims that the Premier League champions are already in talks with the striker to finalise personal terms.
The 27-year-old, who has been capped 43 times by Algeria, has made 39 appearances for Sporting this season and has scored 27 goals.
