Liverpool sent their chief scout to run the rule over Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, according to France Football.
Kevin Hunt watched the 26-year-old in action during the 4-0 win over Rennes on Friday night, who played the full 90 minutes and notched an assist.
Goal reported last week that Pastore is considering his future at Parc des Princes following a injury-ravaged season and falling behind Angel Di Maria in the first-team pecking order.
Juventus are also keen on Pastore, who has spent the last five years at the Ligue 1 giants following a €42 million move from Palermo, though Edinson Cavani is of greater interest to the Serie A champions.
