Manchester City are already planning for life without Pep Guardiola, even though the Spanish coach has yet to begin his reign at the club!
According to the Sunday Express, City decision-makers Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain are fully aware that Guardiola is highly unlikely to remain at the Etihad Stadium beyond his three-year contract.
As such, the duo are lining up former City youth coach and current New York City FC boss Patrick Vieira to take over when Guardiola's contract expires.
Soriano and Begiristain are big fans of the Frenchman and believe he is destined to be a top coach, and are keen to nurture him before he takes over the reins from Guardiola in 2019.
