Manchester City are willing to spend £80 million on Aymeric Laporte and John Stones as they prepare to rebuild their squad under Pep Guardiola, according to The Sun.
Athletic Bilbao defender Laporte has a release clause of £40m, while Everton rejected a £38m bid for Stones from Chelsea last summer.
Guardiola is understood to be keen to build from the back as he reshapes his starting XI, with captain Vincent Kompany proving increasingly injury-prone.
Laporte has attracted interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent months, while Everton are unlikely to let Stones leave without a fight.
