Manchester City are having second thoughts about attempting to sign Toni Kroos from Real Madrid after discovering his wages were far higher than originally thought, according to The Sun.
Pep Guardiola views the Germany international as the perfect replacement for Yaya Toure and believed he earned around £120,000-per-week at the Bernabeu.
However, City have now discovered he is actually on £240,000-a-week and are now reluctant to go ahead with their plans to sign 26-year-old who is keen to work with Guardiola again.
