The Premier League side are planning a major overhaul of their squad ahead of Pep Guardiola's arrival and hope they can reunite the Bayern Munich goalkeeper with the coach
Manchester City are hoping Pep Guardiola's appeal will help them land Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich this summer, according to The Mirror.
The club are expected to splash out at the end of the season to provide the incoming coach with the best possible squad to help them challenge for titles in the Premier League and Champions League.
And the newspaper reports they are looking to upgrade on Joe Hart by signing the World Cup winning Germany international, hoping a reunion with Guardiola and a heavy pay rise will be enough to attract him to England.
However, convincing Bayern to part ways with their No.1 will be a very difficult job for the English side.
