The striker is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, with talks expected next month, but the Premier League giants have stolen a march on Chelsea
Manchester United have made contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's representatives, according to L'Equipe.
The striker is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain following the expiry of his contract at the end of the season, having sealed a fourth Ligue 1 title in four seasons on Sunday.
The report claims Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, will begin talks over an extension at Parc des Princes in April but both United and Chelsea remain keen, with the former making their interest known.
The 34-year-old is said to have a desire to play in the Premier League, though L'Equipe adds that Chelsea and potentially Man Utd missing out on the Champions League season could affect his final destination.
