The Premier League club have previously shown an interest in the attacking midfielder and have already made contact with the Colombia international's agent
Manchester United have begun talks over a move for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez in a deal which could cost around £63 million, according to the Sunday Express.
The midfielder has been used as a substitute in each of his side's last two matches and is said to be frustrated at the Spanish side, while he has been criticised for his behaviour, having been caught enjoying the city's nightlife too much, while he was also caught speeding by police.
And it seems the Colombia international is ready to cut ties with the club, as his agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly in talks with several clubs - with United leading the chase.
The newspaper says the Premier League club would have to pay something close to the fee Madrid paid to sign the 24-year-old from Monaco.
