The Portuguese coach is a big fan of the 23-year-old striker, though the Red Devils will have to fork out €40 million for a player Inter are keen to keep at San Siro
Jose Mourinho is hoping to bring Inter striker Mauro Icardi to Manchester United, though he will have to stump up €40 million to land his man according to Tuttosport.
The 23-year-old has caught the attention of a number of Europe's top clubs after scoring 47 goals in just 95 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
Icardi, who has found the back of the net 11 times in 23 Serie A appearances in the current campaign, is rumoured to be Mourinho's number one target should he land the United job in the summer.
However, reports in Italy claim Inter won't even discuss the idea of selling their prized asset unless suitors are willing to offer around €40m (£31.6m).
