John Stones has told Everton he wants to leave the club to team up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to The Sun.
Stones, 22, is now trying to engineer a move after making the Everton hierarchy aware of his desire to go after returning from Euro 2016 with England.
New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has made it clear that he wants to keep hold of Stones but the former Barnsley ace is seeking pastures new after becoming unsettled following a turbulent last season under Roberto Martinez.
The report claims City could land long-term target Stones for £45m, in a deal which would make him the most expensive British defender in history.
