West Ham United are reportedly lining up a move for Shakhtar Donetsk full-back Darijo Srna, according to the Daily Star.

Srna, 34, has been with the Ukrainian side since 2003 but looks set to leave during the January transfer window.

The Croatian is on Barcelona's shortlist as a short-term option at right-back but if that move falls through West Ham want to sign him.

Srna is still close to West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who made him captain of the Croatia team in 2009, and West Ham need an experienced player in that position.

Michail Antonio has had greater success further up the field whilst Sam Byram has struggled with injuries and his own form this season.
