Longboarding on open roads sounds exciting, until you feel the other side of physics.
Shot probably somewhere in Russia, this dashcam video footage shows a young man riding his skateboard on a public road until a hard right turn brings him in front of a white Hyundai.
The force of impact is just scary, with the longboarder hitting the car pelvis-first. At least the car wasn’t speeding at the time as the driver was approaching a junction and had clear view of the young man coming hot.
Longboarders usually hit speeds of up to 80mph (130km/h) on their usual downhill runs, however, this guy should consider himself lucky for not doing that much.
We really don’t know the extent of the man’s injuries however, he sounds in tons of pain, with the uploader saying that he suffered ‘only minor injuries’.
