Ghanaian singer Samini has requested the Ghanaian government to grant him licence to grow marijuana for business purposes.
The singer clarified during a talk show on Okay FM that he intends to sell the illegal plant to those who wants to use it for medicinal purposes.
He also urged the government to install proper mechanism for people to practice commercial farming with the product.
Samini said, “I am a farmer. I need licence to grow weed and export it to the industries that use wee for medicinal purposes and every other thing important apart from smoking.
If I get the licence to grow weed, I’ll supply to the medical industry, the oil industry… the paper industry, you know different [different] industries which use marijuana as raw materials as base for what they produce.”
The singer has been vocal about the legalization of Marijuana in Ghana.
