Samsung unveiled a 12-inch, Windows 10-powered tablet, the Galaxy TabPro S, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Unlike the similar Microsoft Surface Pro line of professional slates, Samsung’s entry into the category comes bundled with its keyboard cover, instead of requiring a separate purchase.

The TabPro S, which is the second TabPro-branded device (the first ran Android), features a 2160 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, or slightly fewer pixels than last year’s Galaxy S6 and S6 edge flagship smartphones.

It’s powered by a sixth-generation Intel Core M processor, whose dual cores clock in at 2.2GHz apiece, and runs either Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro. Memory-wise, 4GB of RAM is standard, and storage can be configured as a 128GB or 256GB solid state hard drive.

In terms of connectivity, not only does this model feature the usual Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth (4.1), and NFC radios, but optional cellular broadband as well, in the form of category 6 LTE. Location functionality is provided by GPS and GLONASS.

Both the front and rear cameras offer five-megapixel resolutions, but only the main one around back features auto-focus. Other sensors include an ambient light detector and accelerometer.

The 6.3-millimeter thick TabPro S, which weighs in at 696 grams with LTE or 693 grams without (about 1.5 pounds), packs a 5,200mAh battery. Charging is accomplished by a USB Type C connector which does triple duty as a USB Type A or HDMI port.

Shipments will start next month, but pricing information was not immediately available.
