Samsung’s Galaxy View is finally available to procure through Verizon, which is great news if you’re on the market for a gargantuan Android tablet.
First unveiled last October, the so-called “tablet” sports an 18.4″ full HD screen, stereo speakers, and a two-way stand. The device is very much designed with videos in mind, as it's a home screen that highlights a number of video platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, Twitch, Crackle, and YouTube.
Given the tie-up with Verizon, this device does, of course, have a SIM slot too so you can stream videos on the go. Though at 2.25 kg (nearly 5 lbs), the Galaxy View is heavier than most modern laptops.

While the Galaxy View was already available through other carriers including AT&T, it’s notable that the tablet is now available through Verizon — the biggest carrier in the U.S.
Verizon pitches the Galaxy View as the “perfect mobile multimedia device for young professionals or college students looking to bring an entertainment center to their apartment or dorm room,” though several would no doubt question the “mobility” credentials here.
Verizon is selling the Galaxy View today for $24.99 per month on a 24-month contract, which works out at the original price of $599.99. Verizon is also selling it for $499.99 up-front with every new two-year SIM activation.
If you think Samsung’s tablet is huge, Fuhu actually teased a range of truly massive Android tablets at CES the previous year, with sizes ranging from 20″ all the way up to an eye-watering 65″, and some of these are already available to buy.
