Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Senate President Bukola Saraki has appointed Doyin Okupe, a chieftain of Accord Party (AP), as the Chairman of his Presidential Campaign Media Council.
Saraki announced Okupe’s appointment on micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Tuesday afternoon.
Okupe was media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Senate President posted on Twitter: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. @DoyinOkupe as the Chairman of my Presidential campaign’s Media Council.
“Dr Okupe has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC).
“Dr. @DoyinOkupe brings many years of strategic insight to my campaign team, having worked as the Director of Communications for the Presidential campaigns of two former presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr Goodluck Jonathan.”
