Senator Akpabio on The Nigerian Voice, Representing 2face Protest denial.
Senate President Bukola Saraki has said the defection of Senator Godswill Akpabio to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not an important issue.
Akpabio who is a former governor of Akwa Ibom State had on Wednesday left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC.
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, Saraki, however, said he would not comment on the matter as it is not a “national issue.”
“Akpabio’s issue is not a national issue,” the former Kwara State governor said. “I won’t make comments on it.”
Also, Saraki declined to make comment on Akpabio’s resignation as the Minority Leader of the Senate.
