Senate President Bukola Saraki has congratulated Kayode Fayemi for winning the 2018 governorship election in Ekiti state.
Fayemi defeated the deputy governor of the state and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Professor Kolapo Olusola, as well as 33 others, to emerge winner of Saturday’s keenly contested election.
“I urge Fayemi to also work to grow the state’s economy to leave behind a sustainable legacy,” Saraki said in a statement.
“This victory is a sign that the people of Ekiti still has confidence in your ability to provide good governance and render efficient service to the state and its people.
“I want to advise you to maintain your focus on how to bring more development to the state and improve the living standard of the people.”
